[Back] [Score -3] Ninety day warranty periods have become rather common for "off the shelf" software, particularly in the consumer market. In the context of large, customized commercial applications (such as the system being acquired here), a longer period is reasonable. While a vendor will often suggest that this is unimportant (because maintenance will pick up where the warranty leaves off), the hospital's remedies are typically much weaker for breach of support than for breach of a warranty.
